Cost to license vehicle

So I got delivery of my panel van.
As I bought it from cowteng, I need to get it licensed and plated here in Durbs.

How much does it cost? Apart from standing in the queue, is there any middleman I can use?
What docs do I need?

It should be listed somewhere, it's different for each province and works on a scale using your vehicles weight. Google should fund the table for your province.
There are various companies that do this on your behalf. Not sure who does this in the durban area but up here we have weq4u etc I also know there is an online one where you can mail all the docs and they get it couried back to you. Again Google should help.

Temp permit has GP number.
Dealer gave me a blue form and a form with all the vehicle details.

Then just go to the department and do the usual thing as above

I'd imagine something round the 1k mark...judging by those "on the road fees" the stealerships charge.

I assume dealer had it CORed.

If so then it takes about as long to register in your name, as it takes to get a license disc renewed.

I'm not sure if one needs to roadworthy a new car. I did on a car I once bought brand new through an auction house
