It doesn't make sense to have internet caps IMHO, the internet is an infinite resource, the problem comes into bandwidth that is finite, but on unlimited packages one should be guaranteed the speed advertised, none of this throttling carp that mweb has

Mweb is lucky they don't operate in germany.
MWEB is lucky that consumers in SA don't have as deep pockets as they'd like. I am pretty sure that if somebody who had deep pockets and a sufficient interest to protect their internet usage had approached a court for an interdict when MWEB threatened to throttle one would easily have been forthcoming. But considering that I am taking on the fight on my private time and am being as cost effective as possible MWEBs real goal is to spend less money being a bully than they gain from bad business practices (personally I think they are loosing this one badly because of the joint effects of a consumer boycott and spending quite a bit at the ASA thus far)

I think when they throttle your account, the cost must also reflect that, so you as the client must only pay for what you get.

This is what happens when people actually stand up for something. But SA'ns are too spineless to say something.

There is a balance between cost. value and network performance. It is a balancing act.
Can't expect uncontrolled for a small price...
