It made headlines because media...

If the song isn't banned and people have been singing it until now, I don't see why it'd be an issue going forward. Unless Nico has other ideas of course.
Maybe because it sung by a political party in a rally to incite supporters?

It deserves to be in the same place as the old flag: a museum so history is not lost but not in the common parlance.

Depends, someone might take offence and next thing you know the singers are all over the news for racism, won't be the first time.

I was referring to the "maandjie" outrage and the "bobbejaan" song.

lol hate speech... when you try to insult someone it comes from a place of hatred... just saying

inciting to break the law is not the same as saying some hateful.

also imo, this hurt vs harm someone mentioned is semantic bs. its the same thing. physically and mentally.

and the ppl carrying on about a flag that was created in 1928 and associating it with something that was created in 1948.... :X3: dumb

Great decision by the court

For a brief period once every blue moon, the common or garden wood grub emerges. From the recesses of its concealed burrow, the creature bores towards the light in order to fulfill its only known obligation in nature after breeding - it must defaecate a singular bolus of waste, known as an opinion, into the world. From here it shall promptly turn tail and, using its pulsating rectilinear locomotion, disappear straight back into the woodwork until nature calls once again.

I do believe that you believe this. That's the actual problem.

People such as yourself, relish any and all opportunities to raise hatred, and hide behind semantic reasons for justification.
The song is a part of history

So if white people had a historic song that had the lyrics of "shoot the black people", it would be ok to sing it because it was a part of history? What would you say?
You won't get an answer because he doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Nope, this is what you call double standards.

Disclaimer: This is not my opinion

Certain individuals believe it's simply their birthright because racial profiling is colloquial and sometimes even encouraged by family members or influencers (Think red beret oompa loompa).

Your ancestors made their ancestors suffer and set future generations back thus causing an "imbalance" while their own offspring prosper.

This is the general consensus I've heard mingled into conversation over the years (it always comes up, that and or religion), these are individuals from all walks of life on opposite sides of the fence or stuck somewhere in the middle.

Lmao what a stupid argument. Millions of things that were part of history have been banned (for good reason) as the world and times move on. You seriously think, in 2022, that it's still ok for blacks to sing a song about killing whites as if we're still living in apartheid?

Only reason anyone is singing it in 2022 is because they're racist, not because "history".
