Well... If I decide to give my son a hiding as punishment and he is not happy with it. He is free to report me to the authorities. I have also made that clear to him. I will even drive him to the police.
I will deal with the consequences and so will he.
Although it doesn't happen often. I do still punish my kids with a cane. But when it happens they know exactly why I am punishing them and afterwards all is forgotten with no hard feelings. I have found it to be the most effective method. My son is a straight A student and truly a boy any parent can be proud of.

I get that, I think a lot of it has to do with the age of a child, as a young teenager when you know you did something wrong and got spanked, you could understand that you deserved it, whereas a toddler might not entirely understand what they did wrong as they are still learning about the rights and wrongs.

I'm sure other things were happening in your day as well.

I use the measure of immoral behavior, the more pervasive it is, the more damage there is to the social fabric. I'm not really worried about personal immoral behavior though, that I can overlook, but usury I'm afraid I can't overlook, and its pervasive as ever.

Well if discipline through spanking is so great, perhaps the problem and the reason the world is so messed is that we don't continue it through adulthood.

Perhaps you could be the first to subject yourself to this to prove your conviction to spankings effectiveness. I think you could achieve at least a 30% increase in productivity.

The big issue I see with this is where divorced couples will make false accusations to spite the other party, or to try and get custody of minor children.
