Eskom cable thieves get major jail time

Bronkhorstspruit Regional Court sentenced two cable thieves arrested for stealing over four kilometres of Eskom's aluminium cables in 2018 to over a decade in prison.

According to a statement from the state-owned power utility, one of the perpetrators, Anye Valentine Nkwenti, received a 15-year sentence, and the other, Happy Dube, got 12 years.

Released by next year most likely

Can't they send the Zuma/Gupta thieves to jail for similar or preferable longer periods?

Seems like they're just escapegoating with these sentences, while the real crooks get expedited citizenship & medical parole..

Not so Happy now - just worried about Valentine....
Anyway - they will be out long before load shedding is fixed so can go back to their old ways then.
