How many suspect that they ever have caught the ordinary flu off a 14 day old bank note? My guess is zero.
Anyway, the wallet in my pocket is probably close continually at 35 deg C, and my hand are in the open getting a decent exposure to UV light.
This is a scaremongering BS story that even if scientifically correct has conditions so far removed from everyday life that it remains BS.

The tests were done with the virus in an organic matrix that mimicked body secretions (it was based on bovine blood). The results may have a strong bearing on products from food processing facilities.

In the meantime avoid touching banknotes that people have secreted on.

Please don't give the scared more reasons to worry. I mean we've already got people sanitising their groceries.

Right next to the "experts in training" now making it clear that lockdowns do not help with covid19 and should be ended.

I suppose that would not play well with our overlords and they will now get expert opinions from the local witch doctors on how to proceed.

Probably many here, and out there on social media have exceptional experience in having their lives ruined and losing their life work. They have become experts in salvaging as much as they can and that includes protesting irrational and idiotic regulations and reports. Unlike the 'experts' in science labs and especially government who continue to get paid their full and guaranteed salaries no matter how long this thing goes on.

A fool and his truth...

On what did this mythical alleged microbe/s feed that they supposedly live so long? Might as well believe in bigfoot.

IIRC viruses are a strange thing. They are dead and alive at the same time. They don't need anything to feed on, e.g. Anthrax can survive in soil for a hundred years and then spring to life to create havoc.

Anthrax is bacteria and yes, the soil naturally will provide it plenty to feed on. The same happens in my garden with good microbes too. Not the same thing.

What is there on smooth surface glass that supposedly feed this magical microbe for almost a month?

It can be clearly visibly demonstrated with a simple dough starter or even just mash potato water and a little soil. As soon as the microbes eat all the carbs, they die. Basic stuff.
