What would cause this? As soon as I go to bed in the evenings and straighten my legs, both me feet start to cramp in the bridge area, this lasts for about 10 mins or so. It happens every night, without fail, regardless of what kind of shoe I was wearing during the day, or not.

It's starting to drive me crazy.

Ideas?

Nope, not all. I dont have RLS. I'm not on my feet all day long either, started about 6 months ago. My concern is that I was in an accident about a year 1/2 ago and suffered quite a hectic whiplash injury.

I get them all the time, I was told its a lack of salt, not sure if that is true.

I get those when i havnt had water all day long.I do think it has something to do with lack of salts that causes cramps.Go buy some generic taurine pills @ DIschem - they work like a bomb.

I can try that. I do drink about 2.5 L of water during the day though.

I think you kicked the bucket. That's why your feet cramp up.

your blood pressure might be low and have problems with circulation. blood needs to flow down to your feet and since you're ON your feet most of the time (or in a sitting position) gravity pitches in. If you get enough water then it can't be a dehydration issue

I'd go to the doc just to make sure if I were you. Also check your blood sugar and cholesterol

To the doc. It can be anything. Too much water, low blood pressure, low minerals.

Low bloop pressure or bad circulation lends towards needles and pins

yep can be a combination. also if the OP smokes it can do that.

RLS isn't painful, my mom has it, she just can't lie still, I always joke and say she has ADHD

Just cut them off if they're causing that much of a problem.
