isnt that even worse? and linked to stomach ulcers when it is constantly chewed?
Ulcers are caused by a bacteria, so not sure how gum would cause them, unless it's bacteria laced?

Yeah even if it does stimulate your gastic juices, it will be so marginal it wouldn't really make a difference.
 
Just body cravings...just because you decide to change you diet today, does not mean your body adapts overnight. It is use to and still processing all the crap you have been feeding it. Takes a while for the body to adjust to your new eating reality. Cleaner eating usually means less volume and more nutrition. Body has to adapt .... augment its digestion processes to match your new eating habits. Cravings will go away...drinking water in the meanwhile will fill the gap.
