My computer is running on windows XP professional.
and i have an iPhone 3G

I Bought a Canyon Wireless AP Router yesterday and i have been sitting the whole day trying to get the wifi to work so as i can use my computers internet to connect my iphone to.. as well as to SSH into my iPhone.. Well i got the internet connectivity correct with the wifi: So in other words?? My actual computers internet is working.. only problem is that its not emmiting the internet wirelessly as wat i wanted it to do.. So i can jus find my computers wireless network off my iPhone and connect to the wifi.. and as i said.. so i can use my computers internet to browse the internet off my iPhone..

SOme1 please help?? Any advice as to the problem y its not working.. will be greatly appreciated.. umm.. the ROuters full name is.. "Canyon 150N Wireless AP ROuter (CNP-WF514N1)" and my iPhone is on version 3

Firstly, need to stop referring to "my computers internet", it's a nonsensical term.

Where is the internet coming from? You need to configure it so that the internet is going into the AP/router (assuming you have ADSL). Then both the computer and the iPhone get the internet from the AP.
They also will both connect to the AP, and never directly to each other.

have you put the username + password of your adsl account in the router and let the router do the dial-up for you?

that is what you should do.. and it should work on the iPhone too
