Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy

Can anyone tell me if the creative labs sound blaster audigy 4 is a good sound card card? is it any better than the realtek onboard 5.1 sound? This card isnt the pro version it doesnt come with that whole external amp thingy.

Takes _minute_ load off the processor that handles the sound,which dependant on what you do may make a 0.5% difference in processing speed

In my case I use the full 7.1 Functionality of my PCI Sound card,and my onboard audio for MIC and TV-tuner input

Unless you're running a Sennheiser or similar ( ie ridiculously outpriced good speaker system ) the notable difference in audio quality should remain - low

If you shout in a tincan,or speak in a tincan,still sounds like a tincan

ok thanks. i guess it doesnt make a difference now but i bought the card and 5.1 logitech x530 speakers yesterday. picked it up at an ok price. well if anything is a perk i guess its the remote.
