The 50c per sms is on their website pricing - I took note of it when I applied. I assume one can turn the notifications off?

Just got this sms from Virgin CC

I really dont get why we should be charged for these notifications, surely it helps with fraud etc and should be seen as a security measure and not as a value add....

Well that's completely useless depending on your usage.

Received my VM card earlier today and went to ABSA ATM to change my pin. Came back to the shop and ran the card through the company POS for R10 which worked and it showed up on the VM internet banking.

Now I want to test settling the card from FNB. VM says I should add a recipient account using the credit card number but FNB online banking tells me the number is too long for an account number.

I called FNB and they said it should be a public recepient using ABSA CREDIT CARDS and use my VM card number as the reference.

Does anyone EFT from FNB to settle their Virgin Money card - procedure?

Also have a virgin credit card from when it started back in the day. Very happy with them and only bank that pays you interest for credit in the card (not much but still). I usel the card only for online banking and emergencies.

I do eft payment from Nedbank to virgin and it works fine. Don't know about FNB though

My question was answered here if anyone is interested: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/80579-FNB-Adding-Virgin-Money-CC-as-recipient

Need to use public recipient "ABSA CREDIT CARD"
