Cricket: Australia tour of South Africa - 2023

Seems Durban weather is playing along for today.
Friday not looking good. Sunday looks fine.

That is a lot of matches.

Amd none in the Cape where the weather is good and games will be sold out.

We've had games in aug/sep previously and they were usually on the highveld where its dry but not wet... brown grass and somewhat lively pitches.

It should make for a good contest.

That said, we should be trying to replicate indian conditions as prep for the WC. so flat bunsen burners is what we need

CPT weather this time of year is 4 seasons in a day

Probably much cheaper to do it that way as well.

I'd like to watch the Aussies live.

the squads listed here... notice the difference in the number of allrounders

@stefan9 any comments ?
I never said allrounders aren't important in white ball cricket but currently SA lacks quality ones. No point picking an allrounder when he isn't good enough in either discipline.

Cricinfo are being very nice to brevis & Ferreira listing them as allrounders. Markram is more an allrounder then them currently.

indeed, i agree, our stocks in terms of quality allrounders are thin...

also, i would classify parnell as an allrounder... he CAN bat very well

It's been 148 days since South Africa were last seen on a cricket field. It's been 298 days since Australia last played a T20 international. And it's 40 days to go for the first ball to be bowled in the 2023 Cricket World Cup, a 50-over format game.

Sigh both slow pokes in the lineup. Wouldn't have either Temba or rassie in the squad never mind in the 11. Good 50 overs but not suited to T20.

Actually I'm not sure about Brevis and Stubbs scoring. Hopefully they will prove me wrong. Also Shamsi has not performed since the IPL years ago.

Is the DSTV stream working , getting something went wrong on our side
