We have a spate of violent home robberies as of late, or otherwise home invasions, but I won’t be surprised if it is categorised under burglaries.

Quality of life is a lot better than countries where you need to earn a fortune to buy a steak or where the sun shines on the seventh Tuesday in July.

Crime is shite here though.

You can go to the third world beaches on the weekend for the price of a big Mac though.

Really the price of a steak is worth being able to walk around without fear?

Not saying it will at all either.

All I'm saying is that quality of life is broad and will differ from person-to-person. Also just pointing out that everything isn't rosy elsewhere.

I agree, it ain't rosey at all, I know as I lived in the UK for many many years and thought ! fokit lemme come back to SA for you guessed it " steak and sunshine " :)

But the weather and food can really only carry a person so far until it gets to the point it's un-bear-able ( aussie style )

;)

I also lived in a 3rd world country in South America.

Many great things but standards (no earth at all) etc. wasn't always that great. Lots of poverty and crime too as well as drugs and quite difficult to make money there, even though you could buy a 750 vodca for R18 and a packet ot Marlboro for R2.
