Criminal cases against South African Facebook users opened: AfriForum

Ive seen some people on there saying some really, really stupid things. From threatening genocide to clowns replying " schweet come at me bro". Sad that people stoop to these levels. Guess they feel invincible behind the keyboard.

Why is it always the retards that are so outspoken?
 
Go onto news24 and you could fill all the countries courts for the next year with cases...
 
People are very disgusting online. News24 comment section is a playground for racists from all walks of life!

To be fair some of the most disgusting things posted on news24, for example, was against "pink boers" (some even included rape) and I assume the case would be aimed at those type of comments. And Afriforum will ten to one only act based on the feedback from their clients...

That being said, there is no excuse for some of the behavior on Facebook. Oddly ive reported some comments on FB before and some of them, disgusting as they where, did not violate the FB terms and conditions....

Lol thats true, im sure others will lay 100 more charges against whites that post racist trash.
I see more racist posts from whites than others, most of the time the racist post towards whites are retaliation for white peoples comments.

The problem though is only a handful of whites stand up to the white racists.
 
You can't have it both ways. Freedom of speech means having to tolerate other people's unsavory views however much you may detest them. Afriforum is quick to squeal when it feels that freedom of speech is being trampled on by the government and yet here it is trying to supress other people's right to freedom of speech.

Have you seen some of the stuff that has been posted? Is it OK to say a certain race group should be murdered and the wives rapes? You lose the right of freedom of speech if you write crap like that IMHO...

Sure, but what about when the government decides that a journalist can't write "crap" (in their opinion) that they find offensive? Freedom of speech with limits is a slippery slope to censorship and an oxymoron. Who gets to decide what is acceptable and what is not? If we go down that road then we might as well not even pretend that we have freedom of speech. I'd rather have unrestricted freedom of speech with all the disgusting comments that go with it than live in a society where we just pretend to have freedom of speech but you'd better watch what you say or else.

Thats why we can get a court to decide. Also you have to take into account the concept of a reasonable person. Anyone with half a brain would know writing crap like that is offensive. And there is a bit of a difference between Journo's and the average Joe on the street.

lol, you threw in the race card at the wrong time, it was not really a racial thing... more a criminal thing... and you jump in an *boom* whites are suddenly too privileged ... damn what a rush!
 
I think it's really unnecessary to be rude on any forum it shows that they are low calibre and should be banned...Why people can't keep forum chats clean is beyond me...
