But they did initiate criminal proceedings and who ever was involved are now all in jail and fired, right?

The entire management structure and procurement needs to be fired, because how did they not notice.

What are they going to do with the spares? Start building themselves a power plant?

Selling back to Eskom
I'm just speculating here, but surely knowing what was bought with the R1.3Bil, the parts should or would be flagged if they had to replace them? Specially if it doesn't come from the current procurement companies. But with Eskom anything is possible

Lets do this simply

Line up all the leaders of that station and well execute.

Then fire all the other workers for theft. Case or not. And put a ban from them every working at Eskom

Be a good comrade.

Under De Ruyter everything is worse, he is more open about it, but lets be honest he is the Captain of the ship, and there is no way in hell that you dont notice parts going missing, especially as it wasnt stolen in a single day.

And yet he refuses to fire staff.

Its like being a bank manager and letting anyone enter the safe to help themselves. But hey no worries, you're taking home the paycheck as you are THE BANK MANAGER.

Serious question.

Is it only a handfull that is corrupt or more like 50% of the work force? Anyone have any idea?
No accountability. So even those who don't personally steal just look the other way.

It's Eskom contractors who steal the spares for use in repairs at Eskom. With the collusion of Eskom people. These people have long term contracts so you wouldn't be able to say where they get the parts. Suppose Eskom could ask for traceability on parts used to try curb the problem.
