Have you tried changing your primary DNS servers to 8.8.8.8? That's what worked for me

Yeah I even tried cloudflares but it doesn’t work for me

how to you block the 41.63.66.9 on your router? im having issues with crunchyroll buffering and i would like to try this method to see if it works

I just added the IP address to static routing and set my router IP as the gateway, so it can't route. You can see if it worked by trying to ping the IP (it should fail). Attached image below.

However, this only worked for a bit and started buffering again. Changing DNS doesn't help either. I think it's a combination of how popular the show you're trying to watch (ie. is it cached locally), and how busy it is (weekends are a no go for me). The device may also play a role - I've only ever tried using my Apple TV and Nvidea Shield Pro, since I only watch on my TV (maybe PC is better?).

I do however find it weird how crunchyroll is the only streaming service that gives me buffering issues, other streaming services and even some pirate sites i tried have no issues, i wonder if anyone knows why this is happening as it is very odd that i have buffering issues with just one streaming app while the rest work just fine, i may just have to talk with my isp if i find no solution

The problem is with Crunchyroll and their CDN Limelight (Edgio now). There’s no throughout on the JHB node that they use. Something very wrong with their setup. CR is aware of it, but they don’t feel it’s worth their time to resolve due to the small size of the market.

Depends on your needs and/or which devices you want to watch anime on. With these recent price cuts, i'd say go for it.
My free trial ends soon and my experience hasn't been the best so i'll go back to streaming/downloading via "unofficial" websites

CDN they use is rubbish so you'll experience buffering if you don't block the IP

Unfortunately I got the same response when I raised the issue with them over a year ago, so not holding my breath
