Yup! I have seen it been done, a good old freind of mine tried Crysis on a 6600 128MB.. and it... WORKS!!

We ran it at 800x600 all low it worked okay, about 25+ fps :D we tried to turn physics on max and when we started to blow shacks up... lets just say the PC began to "protest" ;)

:D started to Download the demo myself to give it a whirl!
and I was thinking I would be left out in the cold with this one!!
 
woah thats real gewd news hey, lookz like the beta demo was welll optimized so the full ver shud be even better if nt the same :)
 
I have played the demo over and over so many times on every difficult level.

I have also played the MP beta intensively.

This game is IMO the must get game for the holiday. There is nothing to compare it by both in gameplay and graphics.

The more I play it the more appreciation I have for the people at Crytek who made it.

I thought Call of Duty4 would be my game of choice but Cod simply fades away.

what pc u got? playing it on max settings?
 
if you already have something like a 8600GT or 7900GT (or even a 7600GT), it might not be worth upgrading to something higher yet. it seems like the game is heavy on the CPU

It maxes out all 4 my Cores when I play the demo. rather get a dual or quad core processor if you still have a single core CPU.

My pc is abit on the sad side cpu wise.

Amd 4600x2
8800GTX
2 Gig DDR400
Vista

I can play it on my 22" Lcd @ 1680x1050 All settings high except shadows at 32-40fps max.

If I turn on any AA settings my system gets reduced to a crawl:)
 
Anyone in Cape Town with a Burner that would give a poor sibling with Dial Up a copy? DVD and collection supplied????

HELP!!! :(

Actually if you look at it compaired to other games Crysis on low is not that bad :D sure I am missing all the HDR/God Rays/Physics & Shadows... but then again in what other games do you get to throw people around, with your bare hands!! :D

I wanted to get a 8600GT but then I caught wind of the 8800GT 256Mb version, holding thumbs! :)

but still... something is better than nothing ;)

Quoted for truth. :)

I ran it at 1280x1024 everything on very high. At x4 AA I get a framerate average of 17fps. :eek: Was still playable tho........ well...... barely.

With AA off it jumps up a lot. I'll start tweaking it today see what would be the best settings with AA at x4. Just need to get 30fps and I'm happy.
 
Looking at Max in DX10 and Max in Dx9 the only real difference is the God rays and HDR sun bleaching :) perhaps thats just the screenshots, but you HAVE to play this game just to see how good it looks, Rofl I joke that when I finnish playing the real world looks "fake" and "blocky" :D
 
well Crytek said Crysis will run on 3 year old gfx cards, so good to see they werent lying... for a change!

Yea I was crying when I saw that it required a 256Mb display card :eek:
