You are prob laughing @ the headline

I know CW has international bandwidth / DDoS issues and that they are still working on them, waiting out my 1 month cancellation period.

Can anyone else confirm if they cannot DL Kindle books on an actual Kindle on CW, if I hotspot to my iPhone which connects via LTE works perfectly, back to CW you can browse the store but books won't DL.

Everything has been reconfigured / reset to factory Apple Airport / Kindle etc

Also cannot connect back into my Plex server for remote streaming but can connect and browse the Mac mini on my internal network where Plex is installed ..weird

Frustrating not knowing if this is just a CW issue or I need to take the time to troubleshoot.

Sounds more likely to be a router issue considering your other Plex problem.

I can get to Plex at home just fine from Sri Lanka.

Is uPNP enabled on your router? Do you maybe have a strict firewall enabled?

Yes it is enabled and also specified the default host IP to route to (Mac mini)

Plex remote has worked fine before but when CW started having issues I started having Plex issues but on the Plex forums so do other people in terms of Plex remote not being entirely reliable

I have also noticed that connecting / browsing to any of the Plex website sites is much slower on CW than when I go LTE on my phone

I am interested to see if any existing CW fibre customers have issues with Kindle DL's.

But if you are going via LTE you are still going via CW to get back into your network.

So then it surely can’t be CW?

Or do you mean via the Hotspot going out?

Could still very well be the Router. Or it being Fibre and a CPE in the middle quite possibly a NAT issue.

What does the setup look like with regards to ONT, CPE and Router?

No, going via LTE on my iPhone hotspot which is Vodacom, home WiFi is connected to CW / Vuamtel fibre.

My wife's Kindle does exactly the same

But if you are going via LTE your are still going via CW to get back into your network.

So then it surely can’t be CW?

If it’s been like this from the start I would say it’s definitely a local configuration problem and not the ISP.

Does your router do the PPPoE connection? Or is it preset in the CPE device?

Not had the problem since getting fibre / CW, this only started in the last month when CW started with the issue

Are you a Crystal Web customer?

My Airport is set to DHCP to get IP / DNS for my connection to the internet, internal network done my the Airport.

Yup also CW customer but on DSL.

Airport doesn’t give you a double NAT warning at any point?

What if you plug the Mac directly into the CPE? Actually that probably won’t work as it won’t have port forwarding. Unless it does a 1:1 NAT which would make sense and you hit the WAN IP address to see if you can connect.

Would be able to test the kindle thing that way I guess. Although it’s probably wireless only and CPE isn’t. Would confirm if it’s the airport though if that does work.

Nope, Airport is 'humming' nicely in terms of routing and networking

I am sure this is related to the issues CW is having

If I plugged the Mac in they need to release the IP on their side because they tie it back to a MAC address

Guess I will see when I move to Cool Idea's end Aug if CW don't manage to resolve their issues

It’s in Router/Gateway mode now?

Worth trying bridged and that way the Mac Address is retained.

Of course no firewalling then but it’s worth the process of elimination.

Thing is it worked perfectly a month ago in it's current configured state, CW then had issues and then I had issues.

Thanks for all the replies and assistance by the way...
