Does anyone know if the crystal web fibre packages on Vumatel include access to the NNTP server? And if so what speeds can be expected?
Secondly do their accounts include a static IP?

The ip doesn't change often, but it's not what I call static.
The news server is I think limited to about 10mbps. Maybe 20. You'd have to ask support if it's included though

Hopefully it is, but then again no other ISP offers it anyway

Fantastic.

Same here - 20/20 CW
No issues at all

Crystal Web 100/100 Uncapped on Vuma. Happy as a proverbial pig in *****.

I will be activating on their 20/20 package via Vumatel (R680!!! WHAT!!!) end of June 2017 (sitting out my Telkom LTE notice period).

Are they still rocking it? I had a chat with their online support a few weeks ago and it was excellent on that front. Are the bandwidth, service consisentency and pings still good?

Sorry, just weary because of the good pricing.

I have a 50Mbps package with Crystal Web, but only getting 20Mbps on downloads. I've struggled for over 2 weeks with their support, who first claims nothing is wrong, then escalates, to silence. I have already submitted my cancellation to them, just waiting for the 30 day notice period to expire.

how is your experience with CW?

Seems to work OK. Havent gotten usage reports for about a week now. Apparently (after I asked about it) there is a problem (wasn't told what specifically), which they have zero idea when it will be sorted.

They are average. Not great. Suppose not crap compared to other SA ISP's. Definitely nothing to become a fanboi about.

Did you cancel after the 25th?

No issues like the adsl folk are experiencing?

Please don't be naïve. Don't let some random speedtest fool you. There are definitely issues. I have had many a night when Youtube at 360p would buffer on my 20MB fibre connection.

Vuma or Olenserve. Believe issues are mostly with Telkom infrastructure?

Openserve. Line is with Axxess. Axxess blames the Crystal Web and Crystal Web blames Axxess. When switching to my free 1GB Axxess data account, problem disappears.
