CT - MUIZENBERG to Deep South - No fibre....

Muizenberg has DFA and Neotel fibre on the outskirts of the neighborhood but nothing deployed into the streets.

Neotel laid in December 2016 running down to the Capricorn business park and DFA is obviously for Opensource.

Anyone know of future plans for the area? Hint Hint

Linkserve? was running fibre out to Kom side down Kommetjie road Deep South, but still no idea when we'll get Fibre either.

The DFA coverage is growing as seen here http://www.dfafrica.co.za/coverage/ for Muizenberg.

Still hunting for ANY Fire solution.... If anyone gets a lead that could work I would love to hear about it!!

I heard that Evergreen is getting fibre through an ISP on DFA. One of those "neighbourhoods" contracts as they not rolling out to the rest of Muizenberg.

Still no response from Neotel either....

I noticed fibre being laid along Kommetjie road past Imhoffs Gift almost a year ago, yet we dont seem to have any available options.
The ADSL quality is terrible and I'd jump ship to fibre as soon as I could.

Does anyone have any updated info on Fibre availablity in the deep south or alternatives to ADSL?

LTE works fine for me in De Oude Weg, but not sure you'll get it past Imhoff/OV due to the Roodeberg.

There are wireless providers,eg Bluedog, but a little $$ for what you get, compared to the R799 Telkom LTE uncapped contract.

LTE is faster and cheaper option for now, I am using WebAfrica 100Gig data and comes with a free LTE Router (R530). It is enough for my streaming and downloading. The good thing, it's not a contract
