In the answer to millions of men’s prayers, scientists may have got to the root of baldness.

They have identified a scalp chemical that stops hair from growing.

Excitingly, drugs that block the protein have already been developed for other purposes, meaning a hair restoring lotion or potion could be on the market in under five years.

It is thought it would certainly stop balding in its tracks - and may even coax the growth of new hair.

Sounds great if it works but I wonder if there won't be side effects if you use a potion to stunt the secretion of this protein called PDG2?

I want an anti-shave lotion ... this shaving thing is getting tiresome

Finally, Minoxidil was turning into a huge waste of time and money!

Hopefully any new treatment does not cause cancer as a side effect!

If a lotion comes out to cure baldness won't your palms of your hands get hairy?

I saw my future in my grandfather and I don't wanna be bald. Sign me up.

If one reads only the thread title, it doesn't make logical sense:

Cure for baldness: scientists discover chemical that stops hair from growing
