Customs Problems

Hi guys

Has anyone had any issues with customs recently?

They're usually bad, but since December, it's been quite pathetic with regards to the time they're taking to clear items

I ordered something from eBay which reached SA on the 10th of December. Its not electronics or clothing and I am still waiting.

Whenever I phone I keep getting told there is a massive backlog and my goods will reach me in 4 to 6 weeks

26th Of Jan......and I asked how log they have had this back log and I was told beginning of November. And the lady still went on to tell me that it is not getting any smaller.....sigh.

I've had stuff coming in from overseas, it's clearing customs in a couple of days at worst, sometimes it's out within a day.

Had something come in on 26 Dec, was cleared 4 Jan

If the goods came via Johannesburg International Mail Centre/OR Thabo Airport, my suggestion would be to head off to their office on Jones Avenue, Jetpark with an invoice, the items will be cleared on the same day, and you can pick it up.

Hey I hope someone can help me im waiting for a week for my 2 parcels but not one of them is by me and the clearing agents ask me R1500 each of my parcels to clear is there another way to get my parcels clear I dont mind to pay a clearence fee but for 2 parcels is R3000 to clear and my stuff that I bought is half of that price hooe someone can help
