Cyber attack 'war game' tests London banks

A cyber attack by a foreign government on financial markets played out in one of London’s historic halls on Tuesday in a “war game” simulation designed to test the City’s defenses against online saboteurs.

I'd be very interested to see if this does anything to affect Windows' status as the operating system of choice in Blue Chips.

The perception here in South Africa is that Open Source software is inherently easier to attack because the code is published. However, it's pretty plain to me that Microsoft's model of security through obscurity is badly flawed, not least since the Windows source code was released to the Chinese some years ago.
