D-Day for Eskom electricity price hike decision“If Nersa doesn’t give the increase then Eskom will have to re-examine its finances and go out and borrow,” Brown was quoted as saying in the Business Day newspaper.

Or they could "tighten their belts", meaning they can get rid of inflated BEE supply contracts, reduce extravagant expenditure, reduce bonus payouts, close the revolving "golden-handshake-for-a-buddy" scheme (every bloody couple of months a new cadre gets the top job, leaves, gets a moerse payout, rinse, repeat)

Other than that they can focus on hiring skilled workers of any skin color to get the JOB DONE PROPERLY, ON TIME, EVERY TIME.

But no, easier to just ask for a price hike or swipe the credit card...

He and Thava Govender, Eskom group executive for generation, warned South Africa more load shedding was on the cards if the increase was not granted.

Ah threats. How to win over the people even more.

They must fck off. You know what, the more they load shed, the less money they actually get in anyway. If you ask me they just spiting themselves and making it worse if they going to flip the switch to prove a fcking point. The quicker you sort out the stations and get rid of load shedding the more hours you supply to customers the more revenue you will get.

The more they shed the less they get in. The more they will ask for again next year. NERSA should explain this logic to them. Simple as that.
