Reading that quote it immediately becomes believable that she indeed said this.
Ja, that's something you can say anonymously on the Internet and everyone knows it's true. But it's bad politics.

scenes when its revealed that the person who leaked it is also FF+

Party switching is also a probability.

All I want to see is how the court and SAHRC will rule on the matter, that is whether the case will reach those stages. I guess the SAHRC will take to the podium, but the court will need to establish a victim (or victims) whose dignity was imposed, or hurt, by the utterance. Knowing that the witnesses want to be anonymous this is going to be quite a case.

Politics is a dirty business. They'd all stoop that low if given the opportunity.

I see someone had the time to dig into this. See this posted in comment to the DA's recent Twitter posts on the issue,

Tonge klap in DA
May 22, 2015

Percy Nketse, voorsitter van die Mogalakwena Residents Association, sê verlede Vrydag op sy Facebook blad: “I honestly never thought the DA would face a situation where by when some comrades view others as potential threats would go to an extend of fabricating charges against the true leaders whom we respect and adores (pure democrats). That’s why I will always respect non racialists like Mrs. Marcelle Maritz-Mgidi who is a mother to most of the black as we are.”

Maritz reageer daarop deur te sê: “I love the people that loves me and I know you all love me. Thanks for standing up for me. Love you all.”

So... in summary, the disciplinary review was in regard to Maritz using the k-word. She and Smit battled back then... and he opened the case now, 5 years later. Read the part I put in bold, it is in English.

The article I posted. The Mogalakwena Residents Association (MRA) chairman, Percy Nketse, made the post on Facebook,

“I honestly never thought the DA would face a situation where by when some comrades view others as potential threats would go to an extend of fabricating charges against the true leaders whom we respect and adores (pure democrats). That’s why I will always respect non racialists like Mrs. Marcelle Maritz-Mgidi who is a mother to most of the black as we are.”

I see Maritz was very involved with the MRA, also being on an alleged hitlist which targeted their and the local municipal members.

Note: I tried to 'Google' those posts, but no luck. Either it isn't cached anymore, removed or it never happened.

I'm sure that's not her real surename, but just a "black name" given to her by that comunity.

Maybe she was ‘involved’ with the community. It is a mess on social media. DA members, amongst Trollip, is engaging directly with the public commentators. Renaldo Gouws is also writing a wall. All championing the DA. This isn’t limited to the Limpopo branch; it is the party engaging in this activity.

Meanwhile, it is buzzing on Facebook. Percy Nketse, chairman of the Mogalakwena Residents Association, said on his Facebook page last Friday: leaders whom we respect and adore (pure democrats). That's why I will always respect non-racialists like Mrs. Marcelle Maritz-Mgidi who is a mother to most of the black as we are. ”
