The article has already been posted and that quote was quoted twice, three times now. Why Maritz-Mgidi?
black community that she works in offered her that honor for her tireless, selfless community work? She is from FF+ which is known for popularity in black community and I think rietrot mentioned that already. Umgidi means ceremony so anything is possible.

black community that she works in offered her that honor for her tireless, selfless community work? She is from FF+ which is known for popularity in black community and I think rietrot mentioned that already. Umgidi means ceremony so anything is possible.

The article dates back to the time Maritz was employed by the DA. She and Smit didn't get along, reasons unknown, and this was when she decided the FF+ to be an option. Eventually, she reported Smit, stating that he caused division within the DA and then he shot back by reporting her to the provincial disciplinary committee, the case made that she used the K-word. She then resigned and crossed the line over to the FF+.

This may be two separate incidents, then and now, but according to the DA on social media, they have all the evidence in being right so I guess this is a recent, 2017, incident going by the DA.

Some political commentators are alluding that this incident did indeed happen when she was employed by the DA, and that it happened at the SPCA when engaged in coop activity. There is nothing concrete about this either.

Googling Maritz, she does seem to be involved with the black community. Bad that she still misses Apartheid, since it wasn't all that bad.

The woman, Pelzer, who is also mentioned in that article didn't replace Maritz,

“Ek is baie teleurgesteld. Ek het reeds my bedanking by Smit ingedien. Ek gaan egter steeds vir die party stem en sal in my persoonlike hoedanigheid voortgaan om goeie gemeenskapdiens op die dorp te doen.”

it does seem that the women who served ward 32 didn't get along with Smit. I guess this is where sowing division came in, and where Maritz turned heel on the DA to become FF+, but then Smit had an ace up his sleeve because he heard a video where Maritz slipped the F-bomb or so I assume (or speculate at this time). He got Maritz to resign and then hurdled Pelzer probably due to her relationship with Maritz and that he may have liked the replacement candidate, Coetzee, more so than Pelzer. Coetzee who replaced 'them' is still serving ward 32 according to the municipal website, http://www.mogalakwena.gov.za/?q=node/55

Witnesses to that account, say the SPCA story is true, may include Pelzer, Coetzee, other DA members in ward 32, and SPCA employees. I doubt Smit will want to be linked to the incident other than reporting the case, accompanied by his black colleague, Tshibvumo, to show unity. This beg the question as to why the DA didn't report her all that time ago?

This is it, only the court and its prosecutors can shine a light on this.

Maybe she was ‘involved’ with the community. It is a mess on social media. DA members, amongst Trollip, is engaging directly with the public commentators. Renaldo Gouws is also writing a wall. All championing the DA. This isn’t limited to the Limpopo branch; it is the party engaging in this activity.
Is Renaldo Gouws literally part of the DA now?

I was under the impression that he was always a DA candidate, and now he is a DA ward councillor. I see Dean Biddulphis is still indicated as the Ward 2 councillor in the Nelson Mandela Bay, but I doubt that they keep the database regularly updated in any case.

No, not all SA people refer to non-believers as heathens. Us Muslims don't.
What is equivalent word in quran then? There must be some word since english & latin came from quran if I understand correctly.

Lol. In your world.

"Bare ke mohedene". The word in italics is a borrowed word (pretty certain you can recognise it)
I would suggest you get some better friends or family if they call you nasty names.

That was an example of how the word is used.

Besides, I didn't grow up in a religiously devoted neighbourhood. Long story for another day.

Media Alert: SAHRC to Take Action on Politician’s Alleged Utterances
03 October 2019
Attention: Editors and Reporters

The South African Human Rights Commission (the SAHRC) has on numerous occasions urged political leaders to recognise and take responsibility for the power they wield through their words.

The SAHRC is therefore deeply concerned by recent alleged utterances attributed to Ms. Marcelle Maritz, leader of the Freedom Front Plus in the Limpopo Province, and a Member of the Provincial Legislature. The SAHRC is of the view that the clip attributed to Ms. Maritz, on a prima facie basis, amount to hate speech under section 10 of the Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act (PEPUDA).

It is trite and settled law that in our democracy no tolerance will and should be given to hurtful epithets such as the k-word. The SAHRC condemns these racially divisive utterances, as they go against the non-racialist values upon which South Africa’s constitutional democracy is founded and assures the public that it is currently investigating this matter and will be approaching the Equality Court for appropriate relief herein.

Say the first and second incident is one and the same, then it won't be looking good for the SAHRC and the DA since she has already been reprimanded for the first. If this is indeed the second incident then Maritz needs to face justice.
