I hear it all the time at braai talks, all white people are racist, at least all of those I know. Even those that pretend they are not and have black friends. Then it's more of a classism really. Where they view only poor people is the problem.

I even heard a coloured guy at work use it the other day. That was a bit wierd for a few seconds. He was really scared that I would tell someone and I had to explain I don't really care much for people calling each other names.

I actually know of many coloureds who use it, particularly those who is angry that "we still stuck in the middle" since way back. Its very much a bitter thing and a way of elevating yourselves at the expense of talking down.

Personally, in my family/household/group of friends, we never use the K or D word, Iv always found it horrible and demeaning. Especially being raised in a family of coloureds where family members actively fought oppression in the 80's and early 90's...
