DA Limpopo to take Ephraim Mogale Municipality to court over ‘stolen water’

JOHANNESBURG - The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Limpopo’s Ephraim Mogale Municipality on Thursday said it would take the Sekhukhune district council to court over the daily theft of more than 80,000 litres of water.

It said a newly placed fire hydrant was used to fill trucks, transporting water illegally to other municipalities.

DA councillor Flip Jacobs said the district council failed to put measures in place to stop the theft.
