DA MPL Lorraine Botha dies at WC Legislature

The DA chief whip in the Western Cape Legislature, Lorraine Botha has died after collapsing suddenly while at work on Wednesday.

The party's Provincial Leader, Tertuis Simmers, confirmed her death, saying the DA was deeply saddened.

Botha was elected to the Western Cape Provincial Parliament in 2014 and served as the Chairperson of the Standing Committees on the Premier and Constitutional Matters, Education and Social Development.
