Data contract R149/month and itemised billing=R179

I signed up for the R149/month smartdata promotion and am being billed R179/month. It this correct? First month pro rata was R101, 2nd month was R149.50 and now it seems for 3 months it is R179.

I did not select itemised billing in my contract as an option.

Itemised billing is one of the biggest con jobs that the cellphone providers perform on consumers. Imagine if you went to do your shopping at Pick 'n Pay and they charged you for your receipt. Would you stand for it? So why do millions of contract subscribers put up with it in South Africa? Makes my blood boil.

Very very true.It is their responsibility to show how they bill you,how they getting away with charging us for a receipt is beyond me.WTF seriously?

So vodacom doesnt really charge you R149 AFTER ALL.is the cell c contract also subject to this?

I have a R100 cell c contract(100 anytime minutes) that includes EVERYTHING(CLI,ITEMISED BILLING AND VAT) for just what they said lol R100 this IMO is how a cellular company should offer contracts.

My contract is 1 page long, and for the option on CLIPs & itemised billing I ticked NO... but I did find a R100 note that I folded into it.

Also this is the DATA promotion contract. Surely it was R149 and nothing more? Why should I get or want itemised billing?
