In all fairness, some people aren't into going to pubs to MEET people, but rather to hang out with our existing friends. (The last time I met someone at a pub it was an Irish guy who tried to start a fight with me).

Well, I'm not really talking about picking up women so much as just meeting people. I honestly think pubs are excellent places for networking - you just have to pick the more decent sort of pub. Although, picking up women in pubs beats jerking off as long as you use a condom and go to her place.
