Dawn of War 2 Multiplayer Beta

The DOW 2 beta uses Games for Windows Live to enable the online play. As South Africa is not listed as a country with LIVE service it seems that SA players would not be able to login and therefore not be able to play the beta.

Anyone had any luck with this or have I just wasted 2.3 gigs of my cap

i havnt downloaded it, but if some1 over seas had an account, do u think i would be able to use it here to play with, or activate or whatever u need a live account for?

ok i dled the beta and got it up and running, the thing with the live account - what u must do is create a completely new account, say that u live in USA, state alabama and the zip code is 35004. then once u made it, try login to the windows live client, when it gives u an error click resolve, it will take u to an xbox live account creation thing. u will see that it will probably say south africa as your country and u cant change it. just look in the url and change where is says en-ZA to en-US, this should change the country to US. then complete the form and try login again.

then enjoy the game ^_^

^^ Agreed, but get ld13 to create an account for you. He helped me and never had a problem again after that.
