I have a Samsung S20, which has a USB-C output. I have Samsung USB-C headphones which work.

I have a line-in on my car sound system. I purchased a short USB-C to headphone (male to female) cable and connected a double male headphone cable. No sound. The double cable has been proven to work elsewhere.

I tried an old pair of headphones instead - no sound.

So apparently the phone is outputting digital and I need analog, for car and older headphones.

Where do I find, or what can I look for that will, cheaply, convert digital audio to analog so that I can be a good & tolerant parent and play ****ing Peppa Pig songs from Spotify in the car to keep the brats happy on long journeys?

Or am I misguided and should be doing something else?

Car Bluetooth radio transmitter.. connect phone via Bluetooth to transmitter and then tune your car radio to the frequency the Bluetooth transmitter is set to..

The one I linked is just an example, can't say if that is any good or not..

On the right track but that has a 3.5mm input and not an output by the looks of it.

Huh..? It outputs via FM radio frequency.. you tune your car radio to the frequency the device is broadcasting on to listen to whatever your phone is playing..

Yes and that’s garbage 22khz rubbish with interference and everything.

You never ever want to do that unless you absolutely have no other choice.

He has an Auxiliary in which will give him perfect audio quality and no hassles.
