Dead GMail...

Anyone here also having problems with gmail... getting speeds around the 0.10k/s when trying to download mail... somewhere a little short from my capped 8k/s!!!

i have a funny problem with gmail, and its only when i use my PC. It works fine in IE but its dam slow with Firefox....all my friends pc's there are no issues

Try running Firefox in "Safe Mode" - it is probably an extension that is causing your slow GMail problems in Firefox, running with parameter -safe-mode will disable all extensions until you restart Firefox, so you should be able to see if GMail runs normal speed without extensions...

True Tenacity - I am using iBurst, and outlook, and GMail, and have had no problems neither with POP (through outlook), or with IE. Also access it using opera quite painlesly

I am having the same problems, yesterday I tried to download a mail using pop. 2 Meg attachment and it would not go beyond 400k before I get a timeout error. Have had this before as well. Downloading the attachment using the web interface, no problem. Which makes me wander if it has anything to do with the way you setup your mail account in outlook, having to specify a secure connection on port 995.
