Did you receive your invitation yet?
I may or may not have played it yesterday.
And rumour has it anyone who has an invite can invite others, which is how 12k players happened.
I famously hate Overwatch so it's like asking which leg I'd prefer to be broken but it has potential and it adds an element that differentiates it from Overwatch. Is it potentially better than Overwatch?
So not HL3?
The Verge Under Fire For Publishing Info About ‘Deadlock,’ Valve’s Secret Shooter
An interesting video game reporting situation is unfolding as we speak, one where popular tech site The Verge has published a large amount of information about Valve’s secret shooter, Deadlock, which is described as Dota 2, Team Fortress 2 and Overwatch all blended together.
The problem? Many fans are furious that they published this, accusing them of breaking an NDA, and going against the stated info that says:
“Early Development Build: Deadlock is still early in development, with a lot of temporary art and experimental gameplay. Do not share anything about the game with anyone.”
But the loophole here is that this is just…the honor system. As Verge editor Tom Warren notes, they:
- Did not sign or agree to an NDA.
- Did not make any sort of verbal agreement with Valve about sharing the information
- You do not even have to click through the EULA as if you back out of it, it just goes away and you can play.
So, The Verge’s Sean Hollister got an invite, played the game and published information about what they played.
I hope you enjoy it!!! This reminds me of the time DOTA 2 invites were sent out to people!
seems to follow a very similar style of getting a key to the game at the moment from what I've heardI hope you enjoy it!!! This reminds me of the time DOTA 2 invites were sent out to people!
I will patiently wait until the game releases. It finally looks like a form of dota (in third person mode) that I would be able to tolerate.seems to follow a very similar style of getting a key to the game at the moment from what I've heard
