Did you receive your invitation yet?

So not HL3?

OT. No, though there are new rumours.

HL3 may not necessarily be in development. Anything HL will be announced by Valve themselves.

For now, Valve will be developing Deadlock and maintaining their existing titles.

When I read that I though of this and am now sad it's not a sequel

The Verge Under Fire For Publishing Info About ‘Deadlock,’ Valve’s Secret Shooter

An interesting video game reporting situation is unfolding as we speak, one where popular tech site The Verge has published a large amount of information about Valve’s secret shooter, Deadlock, which is described as Dota 2, Team Fortress 2 and Overwatch all blended together.

The problem? Many fans are furious that they published this, accusing them of breaking an NDA, and going against the stated info that says:

“Early Development Build: Deadlock is still early in development, with a lot of temporary art and experimental gameplay. Do not share anything about the game with anyone.”

But the loophole here is that this is just…the honor system. As Verge editor Tom Warren notes, they:

- Did not sign or agree to an NDA.
- Did not make any sort of verbal agreement with Valve about sharing the information
- You do not even have to click through the EULA as if you back out of it, it just goes away and you can play.

So, The Verge’s Sean Hollister got an invite, played the game and published information about what they played.

I have to say, the community is tight-lipped. The reason why I know about the game being shared at the QuakeCon BYOC is because I watched a sponsored stream in which it was said a game code was being shared. According to the person, everyone played the game, but did not elaborate.

Coincidence then that the game was widely shared, and a spike occurred on the Steam database? It could only be Deadlock.

This said, some who have early-access, play testing the game have long shared videos on YouTube. I don't know why some are taking aim at Tom Warren. I mean the game is in the wild now.

I hope you enjoy it!!! This reminds me of the time DOTA 2 invites were sent out to people!
seems to follow a very similar style of getting a key to the game at the moment from what I've heard
