Deadpool & Wolverine makes R14.8 million in South Africa on opening weekend

Marvel Studios' Deadpool & Wolverine broke records in its opening weekend in South Africa, bringing in over R14.8 million.

This huge turnover made the 24 July release the biggest opening weekend in South Africa in 2024 so far.

Sigh we have around 20 million people above 18 in the 18 to 45 age group, considering more than half can't afford a movie ticket nor care about it, versus the US with a population above 18 sitting at a cool 258 million people.
