Not sure how to title this, but anyway, does the executor of an estate have to read / explain the content of a will to the beneficiaries of an estate when all beneficiaries are present together, or can each beneficiary be addressed individually.

Anyone have any idea ?

There's no set formality. The will is a public document when the person dies so it makes no difference whether they are all present or not. Just asked my sister who specialises in wills and estates.

better to read it in front of everyone, that way everyone is on the same page

i was considering my own demise & how best to handle a couple of things.
i know 2 of the beneficiaries of my estate may be difficult for the executor to contact, so i was wondering if things would proceed normally in their absence.

The executor has to do everything they can to locate the beneficiary, including advertising in local newspapers where they suspect the heir to be. The estate can carry on being processed as long as they have tried all means possible.
