Are these issues being logged? I am waiting on antenna still so expect response will be "speeds due to lack of installation of external antenna" . Anyone know process to complain to ICASA?

My Huawei B315 modem downgraded my connection to 3G yesterday, and now I have no Internet connection :/

Anyone else had this issue? Tried to force it back to 4G, but no luck

Telkom call center is useless. They say it will take up to 72hrs just to be contacted by a technician about the problem

Mine has done that before. When I turned the router off and on again it was back to 4G and connected.

No issues this entire week. I think it's fixed

Same my side, with the exception of Monday (which I posted about).

I'll see if it holds up tomorrow night.

But from Tuesday onwards, Off-Peak was 60-70Mbps ; On-Peak was 50-60Mbps: certainly can't complain about that! (Getting 55Mbps right now, in the midst of peak).

I'll revert tomorrow night to be certain since Mondays have been most problematic in my experience.

If weekdays can be anything above 4-5megs it will be an improvement over my adsl. Then I will definitely pull the trigger for LTE uncapped.

I've had no issues for long awhile.

The question is, will these peak-time performances be maintained over the next 24 months? The answer is, nobody knows. Too many variables that could have an adverse effect on performance are in play.

To answer your statement then. You will never know with certainty what the future holds. But, it would appear that Telkom are delivering and listening, and where and when performance has in the past been affected, for whatever reason/s, they seem to fix it. I say pull the trigger. You have a cooling off period and should you experience dismal performance in that time, you can always opt out.

I PM'd the Telkom rep on here a couple weeks ago about slow speeds at night. Only got a reply a couple days ago. They asked if they should send someone out to my place, but I told them it isn't an issue with my setup, but rather an issue with capacity on the tower I'm connecting to, and I offered to give them the tower ID. All they said was they have referred it to a technical team of some sort. So hopefully they get this sorted

Can't even upload a 100kb file- with the following stats:

RSRP -67dB
SINR 30

Anyone else having issues?

Yup.

I'm still (just) hitting 10Mbps (a seventh of my performance this morning); although pings are nearly 200ms to the Telkom speedtest server: so gaming for the family was a no-go tonight.

It's been way worse before (for me) on-peak. But it's still not great.

I would kill for that performance even in off peak periods!

Logged a call with Telkom last night, they called me this morning to let me know that they were investigating and then got an sms about an hour later saying that issue had been resolved.

Will wait to check later when I get home but I think we should all hound them until they fix this..
