Weekends follow a similar pattern.
Saturday nights seem to be OK; but Sundays often get hit from around 5PM.
The response I have now received is as follows:
"This is a low throughput issue – It’s caused by Halfway House Metro Ethernet physical interface congestion due to bandwidth limitation during peak hours."
I am now waiting for a response on when they intend to resolve this.
Thanks for letting us know: so we now know with certainty that it's congestion (though most of us guessed this already ;-)
This also explains why my service was perfect for the first few months before degrading early this year.
The good news is, it's not related to the towers themselves so it sounds like it can probably be fixed? This also explains why some users with a low number of sign-ups on their towers get hit by this same congestion. The bad news is: we're all stuck in contracts that we continue paying for while they sort it out; and while performance off-peak is brilliant, most of us need reliable Internet on-peak.
Let me ask you, how did you log this problem? I ask because you got quite a technical response, so the rest of us should do the same - via the same channel you used to get it...
