I been on this package for the last month and in mornings I receive 40mbps. After 6pm, no more than 3mbps if am lucking. One complains, log calls with Telkom but all they say it's peak times after 6pm. An in Irene Centurion area.

Looks like this is going on country wide a few pals of myne has the same issue on the network. Local latency is horrible, I have logged 3 calls now all they say is "72 working hours and a tech will call you" In the mean time I can't work..Stream Netflix or even MUSIC My usual speed vs current speed

This is not an isolated incident. Both me (Centurion) and friend (Pretoria East) experience this at exactly the same time since Thursday. Literally as the strikes 21:00 the pings jumps from 15/20ms to 200ms+ then at 10:30ish all is well again. I don't have any issues during the typical peak time but these last three evenings have been horrendous, but its not isolated to just my tower this is across Pretoria. Its been fine since February only had issues from Thursday last week. Is there anything we can do?

And why at this time, what the heck is going on?!!!! THIS ISNT PEAK! THE NETFLIXING HOUR!

Yep pretty much this for me(Port Elizabeth) as well. I don't know if it's just me but it seems to be getting worse on my side as well.
The thing is I'm not even on LTE, I'm still stuck on 3G/HSDPA so it appears to be affecting every one.
I have a friend who uses a different Tower to me and our connections went to .... at the same time.

So yeah I'm not impressed to say the least

Still working great for me in Cape Town 30mb down and 9mb up. Pings have been consistent around 10ms - 30ms

Pings are fine for me (Centurion) but the speed is crap. Dont get more than 4meg download. Upload is between 10-20.

Edit: I should probably say I haven't plugged that external antenna in. I should probably try that lol

Also having very bad latency using Telkom LTE Uncapped here in Bela Bela for the past couple of weeks. It usually spikes around 8pm and lasts for hours and sometimes even the whole night. Our download speeds seems fine, its just the latency that makes gaming impossible once it starts. It happens randomly so i cant even plan my gaming around it. Normal ping is around 250 - 280 on EU Blizzard servers but when it starts it jumps to the thousands. I have Netlimiter installed to see if anything is using bandwidth and my computer is the only device connected so the issue its definitely not on my side.

Personally, I dont particularly mind the speed step down at all during these hours, as long as its not 1mg like in the past.
Not much better right now/

5-10mb at good latency during peak, no complaints from me. But this seems to be a bridge to far.

This is so below what is advertised, its in a different ballpark completely.
