In Pta now this is my current signal etc

PCI: 242
CELL_ID: 2893826
RSRP: -95dBm
SINR: 4dB

I have only got 3 bars of 5 signal

This was the most recent speed test. I cant use the external antenna as it just simply doesnt help me with here i am located, and the 1800Mhz band doesnt help me here which sucks

Last Result:
Download Speed: 21723 kbps (2715.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1024 kbps (128 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 50 ms
Jitter: 8 ms

That's very bad hey, maybe try moving around in the house to increase that signal, otherwise buy 2 of those indoor antenna's.

Villieria/Waverley area.

Using external antenna, but I have 5 bar signal with or without the external antenna. Few hundred metres from 2 base stations - one MTN (closest) and one Telkom.

I have 5 bars as well, with antennae. 4 without. Can see the tower clearly.

I get about 40+ mbps during the day and 0.1mbps at night >.<

We live in the same area then. i'm in 33rd Ave, Station in 31st ave if i'm not mistaken. Telkom has luckily at long last admitted to the problem, so lets see what comes form this.

I have a TP-LINK MR200 router. The only way I am able to access the internet is to force the router to 3G otherwise it can't even complete a speedtest when I'm on LTE. I'm in the Hatfield area.

Something interesting in the techcentral article on the new Telkom Mobile packages launched tonight:
Telkom already has a vast chunk of spectrum at 2,3GHz, but this, Vitai said, is better suited for fixed-wireless LTE applications. The 1,8GHz band, on the other hand, is better suited for use by smartphones. Though some newer smartphones can access Telkom’s 2,3GHz LTE network, the operator’s intention is to build a technical solution that prevents this, reserving the higher frequency exclusively for fixed-wireless access in homes and businesses

Could improve our uncapped situation for those struggling during peak.

Just a quick question, are the degrading speeds specific to the tower and the usage of the users on the tower? The towers each have 150 spots available, so in theory if you have a tower only 100 users you won't see the issue?

Mybb indicated that degrading speeds may be due to allowing access to fixed lte via 1800mhz as well?

Any idea how to revert back to the 2300 Mhz setting after selling 1800?

Yeah sure open the app then connect to the router, go to API Control then select /api/net/net-mode
press "Get" then change your code to look like this.

<request>
<NetworkMode>03</NetworkMode>
<NetworkBand>8000000000</NetworkBand>
<LTEBand>8000000000</LTEBand>
</request>

Then press "Write directly to API"
If you read under Legend on the right it tells you how this all works and what the numbers do. Otherwise if you want the easy option which can be time consuming for some just hard reset your router and it should put it back to 2300Mhz. all the best

Hi with regards to this at my place in Kyalami Carlswald Ah, well very few people stay there but its an LTE-A area i haven't had slow speeds or a high ping anytime of the day especially in this busy time from 5pm till whenever. But in PTA at night my mates and anyone in hatfield which is high density well we get **** ping

I still think this is where the problem started originally. Once I got LTE on my phone my unlimited services started degrading.
