Department of Communications working with TV manufacturers on digital migration

The Department of Communications has met with the local television manufacturing industry on the mass production of Integrated Digital Television sets (IDTV) for the local retail market.

This comes as the department -- which is the lead for digital migration -- has accelerated the rollout of broadcasting digital migration (BDM) in the country.

Quite new. The oldest being about 3 years old now. Samsung probably has manufacturing contractors and partners all across the globe. Both my Galaxy A7 & S9+ are manufactured in Vietnam.

It seams this very old circuit board used in the article (circa early 1990's quad-flat-pack chip design), is used by many government agencies; :p

These agencies should move over to the more modern and powerful BGA chips in use today. :p
