Deputy President Paul Mashatile survives shooting

The South African Police Service (Saps) is investigating a shooting incident which appeared to target Deputy President Paul Mashatile, City Press reports.

Sources with knowledge of the incident said that one of Mashatile's cars was shot while he was returning home from the ANC national executive committee meeting in Boksburg three weeks ago.
 
The shooting happened on the N12 highway, with the perpetrators hitting the vehicle in which Mashatile was being transported three times.

Maybe one of KZN ANC guys has decided it’s time for national office. This is pretty much how they campaign.

To avoid being shot at obviously, we can all see what happens when he drives on the right side of the road.

That is why I am bringing it up. Is Paul Mashatile's claim, or his security's, related to the incident of driving on the wrong side of the road that the DA is seeking answers for?

He probably forgot something and had to go back and forth. Or maybe the car he was using had been used a total of 3 times already to carry him. Maybe there is a limit before they sell the car for peanuts to a cadre and buy a new one. The leaders need the best and the newest, you know.

Agreed.. It does, they're asking uncomfortable questions and this is the best bollocks that Paul and his crew can come up with to try cover things up.
