In 2020, these were the top-10 African sources for such new green-card holders — plus each nation’s Black-population percentage, courtesy of the CIA World Fact Book.

*Democratic Republic of Congo: 11,752; 100 percent Black

*Ethiopia: 5,461; 87.4 percent

*Ghana: 4,532; 98.5 percent

*Kenya: 3,063; 91.8 percent

*Eritrea: 2,845; 95 percent

*Cameroon: 2,747; 95.5 percent

*Somalia: 2,636; 85 percent

*South Africa: 2,372; 79.2 percent

*Sudan: 2,017; 70 percent

Total: 49,672 permanent residents from 10 nations that are 90.1 percent Black, on average. By contrast, America’s population is 13.4 percent Black.

Each of these African nations yielded more permanent residents to America in 2020 than did the 944 from Sweden. Largely blond, blue-eyed Sweden is 82.3 percent white. Swedes, at least ethnically, are precisely the type whom a "systemically racist," white-supremacist nation would greet with pom-poms aflutter. And yet Swedish green-card recipients totaled fewer than half of those from Sudan.

It’s an indictment on the social mobility afforded in those countries including our own. People move for opportunity.. it means their economic opportunities in home country is next to none.

I disagree with the wildly held perception that they have the best ability to step up in the US though.. QoL will be better but it would be so in almost any advance countries by the very nature of the country.

Having said that.. everyone in Africa sees the US as the be all and end all of opportunity which I find hilarious. This is an entrenched position which doesn’t take into account any updated info nor things like what they will do once there.

Btw a country’s policies does not necessarily translate to public sentiment though and vice versa. That disconnect has been seen everywhere including here.

Suspect this was true nearly 2 decades ago but not really that frequent these days. Professionals (a tertiary educated or occupying a job in a professional capacity) who immigrate over the last decades are more likely.

What you will also find is they there is now a generation who were born in Cpt after 1st gen moved here and starting to enter the work place. So you will see some of the usual xenophobia kick in going forward due to the lag effect.

And what the Liberal Democrats actually achieved in the process of this self castigation and chastisement has been quite the opposite.

1. Those on the right have a greater sense of conviction and confirmation now more than ever of what they suspected all along; that their freedom and liberties are being threatened by the communist left.

2. That when black American's look at these two groups of whites looting and burning and attacking each other, it only further reinforces what they have been seeing for hundreds of years already now; that white people are all too happy to use black people as cheap political and ideological currency and an expendable commodity when it suits them.

Biden's open border policy. Just get to Mexico, pay the Mexican cartels and they get you into the US. Once there, report to one of the ICE facilities. They document you, ask you a few questions, such as whether you will vote for Biden and the Democrats in the next elections. If you say yes, then within 24 hours they bus you to an airport and fly you, at no cost to any state in the US.

I'm talking about those coming over expecting free handouts and take a chance and try to come in illegally, not people who have work set up for them when they arrive, and are a benefit (and not a drain) to society and do things according to the law.

Having unlimited illegal immigrants coming over with nothing but the clothes on your back is a recipe for disaster and is not what the "free market" is established on.

Try enter Australia without the right requirements and you will get booted out and they seem to be doing quite well.
