Hi

I'm looking for a software solution that can do auditing / asset management on about 500 machines.

Something that will be able to audit on exact actions someone has taken on their machines - For instance: browser history, file activity software installed etc..

Anyone perhaps have something like this deployed at the moment?

OCS Inventory http://www.ocsinventory-ng.org/en/ is brilliant for gathering hardware and software inventory on many machines. It can integrate with GLPI and several other open source software packages for additional asset management features.

The browser history and file activity though would require something else (although there could be a plugin or integration for this that I'm not aware of.)

Does it have a client side monitor tool now?

Otherwise I don't think the network discovery alone will be enough.
