Amazon and Microsoft hiring in South Africa

Despite widespread global retrenchments, Amazon and Microsoft are still hiring in South Africa. However, the number of jobs advertised by each has dropped significantly.

Amazon lists only 13 positions in the country — down from 175 jobs in November 2022 — and Microsoft is currently only advertising one role in South Africa.

Most of those Amazon roles look like they are more for someone with those language skills who would happen to like to work from SA rather than opportunities for South Africans

Would be surprised if Amazon were hiring, from what I hear there is a solid freeze for them. They are mostly targeting human resources, recruitment and retail stores but they are cutting in every single org (according to online sources)
