DFA Contact Details

Does anyone have working contact details of them?

They finished installing fiber at our complex, but no-one (Agency included) as any clue how to go from here.

The company that did the installation was SST Technologies who told me to contact DFA.

( tried all the details on their website )

They found out you live there and they don't want to be bothered by you, so they changed their contact details

Anyhow, afaik once fiber is installed you need to contact your isp and not dfa.
But, I spoke the CT branch yesterday. Did you try all numbers? Probably not.

I did yes and filled in the contact form.

Neither Afrihost nor Web Africa says I am covered yet the fiber man hole pots are all around our street hence why I want to contact DFA as their live coverage map is everything but live.

I think DFA simply deploys infrastructure that is leased/bought from them by the likes of SEACOM and the like. On the SEACOM fibre map it indicates DFA fibre that runs past our complex but no ISP has confirmed that we are covered.

There are also different products. Seacom use a Helios product where FTTH is different as it's cheaper.

Ah alright. All I want is some FTTH. We have OpenServe (150m away) and MTN/DFA literally on the other side of the boundry wall, but no ISP reached out yet.

DFA doesn't do FTTH anymore tho, since they own SADV now.

That will be k@k how else will we get fiber then with there stuff literally outside my door? No other provide is going to put down infrastructure if DFA is already there

They backbone using DFA. They do still have some of their own ftth. But this is what SADV is, their FTTH branch now.

Hi, I think we stay in the same area, Tygerfalls? I'm also in the process of getting fibre into our building. I can answer all your questions.

So DFA did the backhaul fibre in the roads and they also went into the basements of each building. From here you need to contact SADV who will contact your building's trustees and they will then receive a contract from SADV. When that contract is signed, they will send someone to survey the building to find out how the fibre will be distributed throughout the building. That is basically it.

Which building are you in? I'm in Vue De La Rive and we have signed the contract, now just waiting for installation to start.

The best price you will currently get with SADV is through Cool ideas. Home Connect is in the process of adding SADV as on of their fibre providers. They have amazing prices.

Yes Riverside, spoke to the body corporate told them to investigate they came back said I must get the details from DFA/SADV I have now done so, meeting with the parties today. Informed Rawson as well.

Hopefully this will work. SADV said they will wave the instalation costs.

How exactly do they make their money? Or are they playing the long game 15 years etc?

Awesome, it took me the better part of the last few months to gather all the info and get everything together. Not everyone are as enthusiastic as us about getting fiber it seems!

They will make money from the renting of their infrastructure. So if you use Cool Ideas as your ISP, you pay your entire bill to Cool Ideas, and they pay a fee to SADV for using their infrastructure. They are planning on servicing all the buildings in Tygerfalls so it adds up.

I predict I will be able to connect in January. Will probably cancel my ADSL before end of the year. Can't wait!
