Diblo II- Using bettlenet char on single?

Hi,

Was wandering if it was at all possible to use your battle.net Diablo 2 characters in in single- or lan play- or vise versa?

(All my characters are on battle.net, but all my friends play on singe and lan play).

single player chars are stored on your computer,the battle net chars are saved on the battle net server,So basically Blizzard have your char saved to there servers so that u cant hack and slash em

You can actually take a copy of your character and play it offline. There's a locally stored copy of your character somewhere in the Diablo II directory. Search for your character's name. Copy the .d2s file to your save folder and voila. Battle.net isn't going to have any of your single player progress on your character though. Essentially you'll be playing 2 characters who started out the same, have the same name, but are completely separate.

There's also the option of playing 'Open' Battle.net, if that's not yet abolished. You can use any character you like there.

You sure bout that ?? i used to have many hack programs before and never once could i hack my battle net char only my single player char which im pretty sure it operates as a MMO which means your battle net chars are saved to there servers,but i could be wrong.

i know that the single player chars you make not online or in battle net can be saved and tweaked,i used to do baal runs doing 185k dmg in one hit lol.

Eek, best dmg I ever managed with a 'legal' character was about 40k on a flawless 1.10 hammerdin

I remember because I copied my chars from a friend's pc where I was playing on Battle.net and played them on my machine at home...
