Not sure if anyone has noticed the billboard that Digicape in JHB have put up.

it simply says, "Will Apple's warranty outlast the store you bought it from?"

Now, I don't know about you, but this leaves such a bad taste in my mouth. In an industry that's already troubled (Core), to have the resellers fighting among themselves too is just silly. They're all supposed to be on the same team at the end of day.

And to add further insult to injury, for Digicape to use the recession and the fact that Apple resellers that have had to close as a result of it, is just in poor taste.

I think you are being over-sensitive.

I do think that Digicape are preying on the whole authorised/un-authorised issue, but they are at least doing it in a reasonably subtle way.

They are punting their credentials as the largest Apple Reseller in SA and that is their strength.

Argh you've misread the Ad.

They are implying that they themselves will be folding within three years because they have zero care about customer retention and Core has them viced by the goolies!

Possibly they'll fold in One year if everyone's smart enough to refuse buying Apple's extortionate extended warranty.
