Almost OK, torrents are still shaped to less than 1kB/s (hovering at 0.3kB/s)

Torrents are working again on my side. Downloaded uTorrent 2.0 and all is working perfectly going to about 20kB/s but 16kB/s average :)

My ADSL has been down since Friday, Telkom has finally fixed the problem. Login to DC and start my Rapidshare downloads only to be greeted by some of the worst speeds I've seen this month, I'm getting between 4-10KB/s. Normal HTTP downloads are fine, I get around 30-38KB/s.

Digichilli why are you shaping Rapidshare so badly, I mean I pay for my Premium Rapidshare account and I don't see why I can get 30KB/s average for normal HTTP downloading and nothing even close with Rapidshare.

Andre or Dave can you please explain the Rapidshare Issues.

+1

It starts at 30kb, jumps up to 40kb for a few seconds and 5 minutes in ... drizzles down to 5-7kb

The Rapidshare problem needs URGENT attention. Does any one know what the problem is?

My guess is their shaper is refusing Rapidshare ports or something like that, or someone at DC is hogging the Rapidshare bandwidth :whistling:

WTH happened to the virtual pipes and us managing our own bandwidth. My Rapidshare download speeds are still averaging well below 10KB/s with some bursts up to 12KB/s.

Still waiting for a response for my email.

It just surprises me how Digichilli can start a thread for us to share the problems we are having and now couldn't care a less too update us or tell us they are having a problem (shaper/Rapidshare) and let us know they are busy fixing it.

Their lack of updates and their site saying "All is Good" sounds to me like it means their service is running the way they intend it too and that they have intentionally shaped the hell out of Rapidshare.

All I can say is if the email response I receive doesn't explain the poor Rapidshare speeds and I don't see an increase in the speeds by tomorrow. I will be requesting a refund and it will be a long time if ever before I become a DigiChilli customer again.

Curiously, I've seen a lot of bursting lately and considering that I'm running a Spicy package on a 2MB rate limited 4MB line, it's quite surprising to see bursts of up to 100-140KB/s sometimes. Individual torrents average 1-4KB/s but I do occasionally see well seeded torrents working at about 20-25KB/s.

Single threaded downloads are still slow but download manager assisted multi-threaded downloads seem to be pretty decent.

Browsing has it's ups and downs. Most pages load quickly but image heavy pages still suffer from some element timeouts.

The Downloads finish but Rapidshare is being shaped like hell for me, I'm getting an average of 8KB/s. Up till Thursday last week I was getting the standard 20KB/s average, now Rapidshare speeds have gone down the crapper.

Speeds today:

HTTP single: 24.6kB/s max
HTTP mutli threaded: 19-25kB/s max
Torrents: 24kB/s max
Browsing: Alright
IM: Pidgin isn't working
Audio streaming: Fine
Video Streaming: Slow but working

DC seem to have a great day the a crap day :( They need to wake up and fix a lot of the issues at hand and be active here on mybb or I foresee a great diaster for them.
